16 Mussel Point Way

Creating ceramics has intrigued me ever since I was a child. Growing up in Ecuador I gathered mud and water to form small bowls, but after coming to the United States at age 16 it remained a forgotten activity. In my mid-twenties I took a pottery class in Maine. It filled my life with excitement, but for much too short a time. For fifteen years afterward my interest in pottery lingered in a dormant state until I went back to college. I took a pottery class and discovered the magic of pliable, durable, malleable, delicate clay! The endless potentials of this medium enticed me and I continued to pursue Ceramics as part of my art degree. As I worked toward a BA in Photography I was also invited to show my sculpture and ceramics at the school gallery. Upon graduation I taught elementary and middle school art. Currently I work at my home studio in Gloucester and sell my work at various stores in the North Shore area. I have been a member of the Rocky Neck Gallery since 2011.
