2013 was my first year out of my home studio and into the beautiful little yellow barn at 16 Langsford St. It is a very peaceful and inspiring space. I have continued exploring colograph printing with seaweed, and have applied the technique to some new work.

SUZOE”, a collaboration with Suzanne MacFadyen of Arrowhead Clothing, is a line of hand printed and tailored shapes made from silk organza. The work was shown at Craft Boston, the seARTS fashion show, and at the Rocky Neck Gallery.

My new series of textile wall panels explores the area of Goose Cove in Annisquam. They are printed on hemp summercloth with natural materials collected at the sight. They were shown at the Flatrocks gallery paired with Brad Story’s wonderful bird sculptures.

My silk-screen work continues with a new Gloucester wind turbine design and an expanded collection of hand printed tea towels for the Cape Ann Farmer’s Market.

I was happy to return to Maritime Gloucester in August for another week long seaweed and fish printing workshop. “The Sailfish Project” involved students age 6-60 printing and stenciling some fifty yards of organza to create an art installation on the pier.

I look forward to a busy winter in the studio. I will be starting on some large landscape wall panels, as well as continuing work on my new line of hand made dolls.

I am really excited to be joining the Cape Ann Artisan tour for 2014.
