The Cape Ann Artisans will once again set up shop at the Rockport Art Association for their second Holiday Show. Having just completed its 32nd Annual Open Studios, the Artisans are ready to welcome the community to view the work “out of the studio” for the second year in a row. To celebrate this special occasion, the Artisans will introduce a “Pink Punch” sponsored by Ryan & Wood Distilleries and invite you to come and see their own artistic version of holiday cheer!

“We had a very positive reception for this show in 2014,” according to Pam Stratton, CAA President. “Our regular patrons as well as new ones appreciated the chance to see us together in this highly accessible environment – under one roof. It was fun for the Artisans as well, to be able to spend time together – something we cannot do during the tour itself.”

Exhibiting artists will include: POTTERY Cynthia Curtis, Anni Melançon, Twin Lights, Studio, and Ruth Worrall; JEWELRY: Jacqueline Ganim-DeFalco, Marcie Rae, and Beth Williams; PRINTED TEXTILES, Camilla MacFadyen; WEAVING/KNITTING, Sara Wright; MOSAICS, Pam Stratton; PAINTING, Rob Diebboll; SCULPTURE, Bart Stuyf. Artisans who are not in the show invite the public to visit them in their studios by making an appointment.

The show is planned in collaboration with the popular “Shop Rockport’s” special evening planned by the merchants for Friday December 4th, the Artisans will display and sell their wares on Friday evening and continue through Saturday at 5PM. Rockport Art Association has a new handicapped entrance that will make navigation easier for many of the shoppers.

During that time, Rockport Art Association will also be selling its holiday ornaments and Masterpieces in Miniatures and featuring an exhibit of work by Don Stone.

What you will see: Unique works by 12 Artisans who have collectively a large number of gift items that include: Oil and watercolor paintings, prints, cards, small copper animal sculptures (octopods, seahorses, fish, hummingbirds) candle holders, ornaments, mosaic wands, gift card packs, small mosaics, and Nantucket baskets with mosaic bases, mugs, trays, platters, bowls, colander/fruit bowl, vases, mini sipping cups, blankets, mittens, scarves, hats, tea towels, dolls, shawls, hair accessories (barrettes, combs, hair forks, alligator clips).
