Rebecca Anne Nagle is a painter and mixed media artist who explores layering and transparency within society and nature, searching for the rhythms, lyricism, and repetitions in the visual or metaphysical that produce movement and emotional impact.

Sinikka mostly loves to paint, but also unleashes her expressionist soul when inspired by any manner of found object: she’s woven ryas, made sculpture from hangers, and wall pieces from recyclables.

I activate the blank surface with color, gestures and mark which launches me into the painting. My feelings and intuition direct me, allowing the act of creation to be the guide. The process can elicit any number of emotions that are translated through these gestures, textures, patterns, scrapes, movements and colors – some will be revealed and some will be veiled.

David Archibald, a founding member of the Cape Ann Artisans, has been making stoneware and porcelain on Cape Ann since 1973. His bowls, vases, tableware, and lamps are prized for their classic shapes and rich glazes in a range of shades, from deep reds and purples to pale celadon tones.

Working with a variety of mediums in her Lanesville studio Deborah creates contemporary paintings rich in texture and color. The simplicity of each image is supported by the translucency and depth created by the application of multiple layers of encaustic.

Danette works in her studio in the village of Lanesville. Her work in clay is both functional and sculptural, exploring the interaction of form, surface and color. Her sculptural vessels are an investigation of themes that relate to the human figure and the deconstruction of traditional forms. Her other work, thrown on the wheel, is inspired by radial design and floral imagery utilizing pattern and color. Studio visits are welcome, call or text for an appointment.

John captures the beauty that each season brings along with the magic light that exists on Cape Ann through his photography. He particularly enjoys photographing during the golden hours of sunrise and sunset and also is drawn to images where nature and man made elements meet.
