Rob Diebboll has been making art on Cape Ann for over 40 years. He uses his painting to investigate the ethereal world of the coastal landscape. Moonlight, fog or brilliant sunlight informs the water and atmosphere of beaches and their visitors. The paintings frame the joyous chaos of bathers, or simply a meditation on a single wave, a reconnection of our inner selves to nature. And at times one finds a touch of humor mixed with a little mystery.
