CAM Studio Workshop: Make Your Own Chain Maille – Events at the Cape Ann Museum
Taught by Marcie Rae, jeweler, current Cape Ann Artisan President, and Juried Member of the League of NH Craftsmen for over 20 years, the class gives a brief overview of chain maille history. The technical details of making chain maille such as jump ring dimension and aspect ratio are explained so that beginners can follow chain maille patterns and more experienced students can adapt or create their own patterns. Each student will make one or two bracelet and earring patterns.
Previous workshops/events in the Cape Ann Museum/Cape Ann Artisan partnership include:
CAM Studio Course Introduction to Oil Painting with Impressionist Color, taught by Melody Phaneuf, Boston School Artist and CAA Member
