From the Studio, Spring 2021: Pam Stratton

During the pandemic I continued to add mosaic work to my tree and I finished my sculptures that I had started in my class in Bell buckle Tennessee. I am looking forward to teaching again in my studio this summer.

The Koi fish now resides by my pond and the abstract sculpture sits atop my new granite pillar in the yard.

There is also another new 5 foot long Fish mounted on the front of my house, “Fiona.” She will look lovely when the salmon colored roses are in bloom below her this Summer.

Now that the weather is improving I have started working on the tree again. Here I am preparing it so I can make the new substrate for the mosaic.

This is the one you can see up already, It is called “Moon Bird”.

Inside the studio I have been working with mixed media, undulating substrates and Jewelry.  These are made with Encaustic and mosaic glass.
