Annual Events Will Take a Year off to Energize for the Next Decade and Beyond

In 2023, the Cape Ann Artisans were omnipresent for their 40^th Anniversary year.    Last year included educational initiatives and workshops with a selection of the artists at the Cape Ann Museum (CAM), a special exhibit with Rocky Neck, and participation in the Cape Ann Blossoms show at the CAM in addition to Spring and Fall tours and the Summer Mini-Tour.   The Artisans wish to thank their partners and the community for their outstanding support.

The final event of 2023 was the CAM talk in October which brought together a variety of artisans from different eras of the tour and prompted some important conversations.   After this extremely fulfilling year, it’s time to reflect on the past and plan the future.  Since the inception of the tour by its pioneering artisans, much has changed in the art world.  After a thoughtful discussion, the Cape Ann Artisans have decided to take 2024 as a planning year.   Our goal is to ensure that the tour stays relevant, fresh, and top of mind with its loyal followers and its future patrons as they head toward 50 years.   We will take time to review all aspects of the annual Artisan events to optimize our role in the arts and cultural scene on Cape Ann.

The Artisans have emailed a survey to their followers, but welcome for anyone that is familiar with the tour to click on this link and participate.  For those that leave an email address, they will be entered into a drawing for a $50 shopping credit to be used with any of the Cape Ann Artisans at their studios.   The survey will remain open until February 1.

As such, there will be no Spring, Fall, or Summer Mini-Tours in 2024.

Throughout next year, many of the Artisans will hold their own events at their studios or in exhibits with various art groups and studios will all be open by appointment.   To be included in the outreach of individual artisans, please be sure to follow each artisan individually on social media or via email.    See below for individual contact information for each of the active 2024 Artisans.     We will do our best to communicate periodically on major happenings and look forward to re-emerging stronger than ever in 2025!  Please be sure to follow @CapeAnnArtisans on Facebook and Instagram for special happenings.
