It’s been a busy and wonderful Summer for art and family time! And the Fall is looking quite busy too! I enjoyed participating in the annual Artists in the Rockport Gardens where I experienced a gorgeous garden overlooking Twin Lights Island! If that wasn’t the best experience, I was lucky enough to sell my painting to the owner of the home.
As a member of New England Experimental Group I was juried into the exhibit at the Matz Gallery – Resonance: A Contemporary Response to Avery, Gottlieb, Rothko, By the Sea. Held during the months of July and August. This Fall I was chosen to participate in a group art exhibit with 3 other artists titled : Organic Radiance from September through November 13, with the Reception on October 15, 5-6:30pm in the Matz Art Gallery at the Sawyer Free Library. In August I vacationed with my family to our annual “happy place” in Ogunquit, Maine.
One of my favorite places to paint is on the Boulevard during Fall season when the Dahlias are in full bloom showing off their glorious colors with the ocean and waving flags as its back drop.
I also spent my summer painting seascapes, landscapes and backyard gardens. I’m looking forward to the next Cape Ann Artisans Tour on October 10 & 11 where I can share my recent artwork and meet with new visitors and old friends!
