From the Studio Spring 2019: Cynthia Curtis

Spring always inspires me to make flower vases.  This year I have a large selection of vases in many sizes, shapes and colors, some with beach glass melted into the rim, some with shells hanging from leather cord.

I also have an array of Sea Fossil vases imprinted with my special beach found treasures. My pottery is very ocean inspired. I love seeing the ocean every day.

I’ve been so fortunate to have over 1,200 students in the last 24 years.  It’s very rewarding to help them with the ups and downs of the learning curve.  I’m a big believer in the therapeutic value of working with clay and see it transform people every day.

Hope you will visit during the Cape Ann Artisans Open Studio Tour June 2-3.  See lots of new pottery in my gallery, view students working in the studio, take a walk in the woods, enjoy iced tea and homemade cookies, sign up for a class!
