From the Studio, Summer 2020: Rob Diebboll

This year has been strange in so many ways, aside from the obvious COVID impact.  I had to set my brushes aside for much of the year to attend to the family and the passing of my mother (not COVID), an amazing woman who will live on as an example of giving, kindness and strength.

But I have started getting back into the painting rhythm again.  A few weeks back I took my paints down to the pebbly part of the beach and watched a mother help her children down to the water.  It felt like their first time to the ocean.

Then last week I was taken by two siblings lost in the moment of dribbling sand on legs.

More to come!

Note, I will not be able to participate in the October Tour but I hope you can visit the eleven artisans that will.  Go to the Brochure page for the list, brochure and map.

Stay safe,

Rob
